Everyone can go to their pharmacist for free advice or to buy a medicine for a minor illness or ailment. The minor ailment scheme is a new NHS Enfield CCG service for people, including children, who don't pay prescription charges.
The minor ailment scheme allows you easier, convenient access to the same advice from your pharmacist as you would get from your GP and where appropriate dispense you over the counter medications, free of cost, without having to wait for a GP appointment.
You can use the service if:
- you are registered with a GP practice in Enfield, and;
- you don't pay for your prescriptions
