PLEASE READ BELOW IMPORTANT INFORMATION REGARDING E-CONSULTS
Dear Patient,
COVID-19 cases are rapidly rising and GP surgeries have been instructed by NHS England to focus on urgent care only. Therefore, for the next two weeks, the eConsult service will be temporarily switched off. During this time if you feel unwell, please contact us by telephone to book an appointment. Thank you for your patience during this challenging time. Regards Medicus Health Partners

IMPORTANT E-CONSULT INFORMATION BELOW
As you know, General Practice has seen a huge digital front end transformation during the pandemic. This was designed by commissioners to help give patients broader, and more responsive access to healthcare. Medicus have tried to embrace this, as we see the potential benefits to patients.
Firstly, we would like to thank you for your patience whilst we have rapidly implemented this programme, and for your feedback during the process, which has been especially important. We now better understand that this route of access is not ‘one size fits all’ and that we need to meet the needs of our complex and long term conditions patients, who often prefer alternative modes of contact.
To this end, we will now be focusing on proactive care for our vulnerable patients during the latter half of the day and the digital pathway only during the peak period in the morning. Patients will still be able to access the eConsult system from 6.30pm every weekday evening to 1pm the next day, and over the weekend. At other times (1pm to 6.30pm) during our opening hours, you will be able to contact the practice by phone as usual. Like any change, we will be continuously evaluating how this impacts you and would welcome further feedback as we move forward.
We recognise that this is an iterative process, that may not lead to an optimal patient experience in the short term, but with your help and with some time, we hope to the achieve the right balance for your healthcare needs.
We know these are challenging times and our ways of working may have changed slightly to accommodate policies for your safety. But we want you to know We are open and We care.
Appointments are being delivered online, via telephone and face to face appointments. You need to book via E-Consult or we will assist you with E-Consult Lite.
Surgery Opening times are 8am to 6.30pm Monday to Friday

This exciting development will provide the foundation for a new model of General Practice which we believe will provide a valuable contribution to the NHS as a whole which will ultimately result in a better service for all of our patients.
- We will still continue to provide you with an excellent service, however we are currently changing the way we work by reviewing the way in which we deliver our services and the organization of our practice so that we can better serve our patient’s needs.
- Please bear with us whilst we implement those changes. Over the next few months we will be asking you for your views and opinions on how we can improve our services.
- Please visit this site regularly to find out about the changes that are taking place. Please also take part in the online questionnaires and surveys that we will be posting in this site, to find out your views so that we can improve on the services that we offer.
IMPORTANT INFORMATION ON CORONAVIRUS:
MHP are following guidance to try and contain/minimise the spread of COVID-19. For safety of patients, staff and families we are only booking appointments for urgent clinical requirements. Telephone appointments will be used for all other requirements.
You will be contacted to inform when the status has changed, and Medicus Health Partners is confident that the environment is safe to do so.
For the latest Covid-19 advice please visit www.nhs.uk. If you think you may have Covid-19, have travelled to an affected area - please do not go to a GP surgery, pharmacy or hospital. Use the NHS111 online service to find out what to do next.
